Working process
The original lithography, today known as offset printing, is based on different wetting behaviour of different materials.
The places to be printed of the pressure plate are friendly to bold and water-avoiding. Therefore, they accept the printing ink. The not printing places will provide in the humid work with a thin humid means film. As a result printing ink is given on the places to be printed by the colour order platens of the colour work.
The offset printing is call indirect printing method because the real print format is delivered to an elastic cylinder before it arrives the printing substrate.
Applications
The offset printing is in the book, newspaper and package printing widely spread and is the best possible kind to attain photo-realistic results. In contrast to the silk screen printing the offset printing colours are more matt, wherefore it advisable to bring a gloss finish on the printing after the print.
